  • This is the parent and chick seen in the video. The chick has just started getting aggressive with the parent. The parent saying "Calm down, you will get fed".
  • The parent praying for patience and wondering why they had chicks again.
  • Parent feeding chick by regurgitating the food.
  • "I've had just about enough of you for one day!"
  • "If I dont get some more food in short order I will have the GBH chick social workers all over you!"

  • Great Egret taking off to either look for food or some nest building material.
  • Anhinga with chick. The photo is not the best because it was at quite a distance and in the tree limbs but it is the only time I have ever been able to photo an Anhinga with a chick.
  • Snowy Egret looking for a little to eat.
  • Great Egret preening itself which they spend a lot of time doing.
  • These birds amaze me how they can take land and take off from the smallest of limbs. I have never seen one slip or fall. Maybe I can learn something from them?
